How can I put this? I'm thankful for...prettiness? I think that's it. There is something pretty about every season, and just when you think you've seen enough irises, or enough pure white snow, or enough brilliant trees, you get a big change. When that happens, I run around thinking "Oooh, look at that! And that! And that!"
I would not do well in, say, southern Arizona, where it's basically the same all year round. So I'm thankful that I live here, with four beautiful seasons.

Beautiful photos, Joyce! I couldn't agree more. There are some days in February or even March when I wonder if winter will ever end, and I wish I could go some place warm. But I wouldn't want to live in a place year-round without the changing of the seasons. It's similar to the idea of how can you experience joy if you've never experienced pain.
Yeah, there's some pain there at the end of February, that's for sure! But we know it's not going to last long. It just makes me love those crocuses and forsythia all the more.
I second that, esp. since I almost wrote a similar post! LOL! Great minds think alike!
