Thankful For The Election
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I'm thankful that I live in a place where we can speak freely and vote our conscience, and that once the vote is tallied, we accept the results and go forward. There are a lot of places in the world where that isn't the case.
So don't forget to vote today, and do it with JOY! Like these guys:

After my family, this was the second thing I thought of when thinking of what I was thankful for. As you say, Joyce, not every country has the freedom to choose their leaders. I hope everyone takes advantage of that freedom today and votes.
What a great video clip! They should be showing this at the polling places. It was a fairly even-tempered crowd this morning as the line stretched out quite a bit at my polling place. I'm thankful for that.
I just voted (a little before 9am) and though it was busy, I actually just flowed right through with no waiting. They said there was a line for a while early this morning as people voted before work. And yes, all happy campers as far as I could see, but no dancing. I think we should have dancing!
Good for you, Joyce! Great post. No line here at 9 am. And we still vote with paper and pencil!! I am praying for that acceptance afterwards - that people truly do accept with graciousness and hope.
How wonderful! Thank you for the reminder to be thankful. For the focus on the positive.
