"God has an agenda and it is not only not ours, it frequently and constantly interferes with and opposes ours. We are used to thinking in terms of God helping us in our life, that our life is "our story" and we invite God to participate in it, and that is so bass ackwards. It is God's story, God's world, God's life, and we get to participate in it. "

My "agenda" definitely needs to be adjusted.
Just yesterday your son told me that he thinks God is calling me to work with the women in our church. (I know He is, but I'm trying to stall. Maybe if I shut my eyes real tight I'll become invisible, and God won't see me and pick somebody else! Riiiight...)
I don't think I'm ready, yet something profound happened to me today. After the worship service, a young lady confirmed what Matt said yesterday by asking me to mentor her.
Oh boy...I know good and well that wasn't "coincidence."
I was trying to delay the inevitable, but if I want to call myself "obedient," then I have to act like it, right?
Mentoring someone who wants to go into full-time ministry was not in my plans for the summer. I suppose, however, that now is as good a time as any to start re-arranging my agenda, eh?
Michelle-LOL! You just got your adgenda adjusted big-time! I know you'll do a great job!
Oops, that's "agenda". Too much cold medicine!
